In 1976 Eduard de Kam gave a photocourse at the University Centre.

The course was of course about the technique of developing films and printing pictures (how to gain control on the material). More important was becoming conscious of the choices you should make on the subject (the focus) and what light is doing with surfaces.

Most of his assignments were about objects and buildings, but it was not hard to work from there and use the knowledge on portraits.
